Cookie policy

Information on cookies used on fanaticdivers.hu and how consent is handled.

Effective: 2026-08-14. Version: 2026-08-14.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small data file stored by the browser. Similar technologies (e.g. localStorage) can also save settings. Some cookies are required for the site to work; others need consent.

2. Which cookies do we use?

  • Necessary: session, security (CSRF), basic site operation – we do not ask for extra consent, but we inform you about them.
  • Statistics: traffic measurement (e.g. Google Analytics 4 / Tag Manager) – only after consent.
  • Marketing: we do not currently use advertising cookies; if we introduce them later, they will be handled separately in the banner.

3. Cookie table

Cookies and similar technologies used on the site
Name Purpose Type Expiry Source
fanatic-divers-session Keeping the session Necessary Session / 120 minutes First party (ours)
XSRF-TOKEN CSRF protection on forms Necessary Session First party (ours)
cookie-consent (localStorage) Storing the cookie-consent choice Necessary (preference) Until you delete it / until the version changes First party (ours)
_ga, _ga_* Distinguishing visitors (GA4), if measurement is on Statistics up to 2 years Third party (Google)

We store the consent choice in the browser’s localStorage under the cookie-consent and cookie-consent-version keys.

4. How can you manage cookies?

  • In the banner on first visit: Accept or Reject (equal choices).
  • Later: reopen the banner with the Cookie settings button in the footer.
  • You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

If you reject, the site still works; statistics measurement does not start.

5. Third-party cookies

For Google Analytics / Tag Manager, Google’s own privacy policy also applies. We activate the scripts and related cookies only after consent (Consent Mode v2: default denied).
